This English site is a short version of our full website.Ontroerend Goed is a theatre performance group that creates intimate, individual performances as well as larger-scale theatre plays. Following this double track, we give ourselves the freedom to explore the boundaries and codes of performing arts and to open up theatre to the variable expectations and tastes of a wide and diverse audience. The name ONTROEREND GOED is a play on words, best translated as Feel Estate. Hattrick for Once and for All... in Edinburgh
Once and for All... didn't only manage to win a Herald Angels Award, it also took in a Total Theatre Award and a Fringe First Award at the Edinburgh Festival. Last year, Ontroerend Goed was the first Belgian theatre company to be awarded both prestigeous prizes for the individual show The Smile Off Your Face. To win in Edinburgh in two successive years, is quite unique. Congratulations to the whole crew, including our partners Kopergietery and Richard Jordan! Once and for all… fringeing in Edinburgh A wild bunch of thirteen youngsters is heading for the Theatre Festival in Edinburgh to perform Once and for all we're gonna tell you who we are so shut up and listen, our physical theatre show that challenges the clichés about adolescents. The performance received critical acclaim in Belgium, among which a five star review in the national newspaper De Morgen. To be seen in Traverse Theatre from 12 till 24 August. Australian Awards for The Smile Off Your Face On March 16, Ontroerend Goed won a Fringe Award for Best Theatre at the Adelaide Theatre Festival in Australia. Another success was David's stunt to have the full audience at the award ceremony scan "Ontroerend Goed". The Smile Off Your Face was also awarded with an Advertiser Fringe Award. Fringe First Award for The Smile Off Your Face On the 19th of August, Ontroerend Goed was among the happy few out of 2000 acts that received a Fringe First Award in Edinburgh, Scotland. The Smile Off Your Face was granted this honour for "innovative and outstanding new writing". With this prestigious award, the performance can go on an international tour, first in the United Kingdom and, who knows, a lot farther… To this occasion, we would like to give our warmest thanks to all people who have been working on The Smile Off Your Face during the past four years To the team in Scotland: the actors Nicolaas Leten and Aurélie Lannoy and the "rollers" Kasper Vandenberghe, Merel Vercouteren and Goran Petrovic. On Thursday morning, the 23rd of August, the performance received the Total Theatre Award for Experimentation, a prize awarded to the best experimental physical performance. Ontroerend Goed was among the six nominees for this award. With two awards in the pocket, Ontroerend Goed definitely ranks among the eye-catchers of the Edinburgh Festival. Fringe First Award pour The Smile Off Your Face
Le 19 août, Ontroerend Goed a été parmi les quelques-uns élus de 2000 performances qui ont reçu un Fringe First Award à Edimbourg en Ecosse. The Smile Off Your Face a été primé de cet honneur pour une "nouvelle écriture excellente et innovative". Jeudi matin, le 23 août, la performance a reçu le Total Theatre Award pour expérimentation. Ce prix est attibué à la meilleure performance expérimentale et physique. Ontroerend Goed était parmi les six nominés pour ce prix. Avec deux prix en poche, Ontroerend Goed est parmi les grandes accroches-oeil du Festival d'Edimbourg.
